What is your practice teaching you about yourself? What patterns are being revealed on your yoga mat? The way you do anything is the way you do everything. This is the power of the practice. Your yoga class is like a symbol of your life. It too has a beginning, middle, and an end. How are you moving through your class? How are you moving through your life. Change things on the mat and you will see changes occur off the mat as well. This is the power of yoga. It has the power to change your life. Look at the mirror. The yogi’s call this Svadhyaha. This means self study or introspection. Study your self. Study your mind. Look at what is coming up for you when you go into the fire of your practice. What things bubble to the surface? You are not your mind. You are not these thoughts. Try to just observe without getting involved. The body is an anchor. Hold onto it. Don’t lose your focus. The breath will help you stay calm. Stay present. Observe. What are you learning about yourself? Yoga is an investigation. Do you want to know who you are? Are you ready to look at the darker parts of yourself? Look at the Yogic Mirror. The first way to let go of the patterns you are stuck in is to become aware of them. Bring them to the surface and then let them go
